Looks like everyone had a fun Halloween. Certainly, everybody was into the SPIRIT of Halloween. That is Ted's magnificently carved pumpkin at top left, with his kids plus some friends ready to go trick and treating. (top, left side: Erin, Owen and Abby) Jenn with Christian, bottom left.

Perceptions are Everything

When I first saw the Snapfish slideshow uploaded by Jenn, I thought this was a picture of Chris with a Yasir Arafat baby doll. On closer inspection, it was little Christian in his Dalmatian dog outfit.

Likewise, where had I seen that carved pumpkin before. I had a distinct image of having seen a similar one - somewhere.

And then it dawned on me - yes, I'd seen a picture of GWB just like it.

Uiloq, after finishing the Arctic Circle Race, 2008 - a three-day cross-country trek
across Greenland following, roughly, the Arctic Circle. Kind'a like the Iditarod - for humans.
Uiloq finished # 1 in the Women's Division, but did not wish to be photographed on top of the podium.
Instead, she asked her husband, Ojsten Slettemark, (#2 in the Men's Division) to pose with their youngest son, Inuk.
Here she is, congratulating her competitors, while her family proxies proudly look on

Our Own Halloween

Kind of a quiet day - but I do enjoy carving those pumpkins
apparently it runs in the family
